So, it’s come to that time where I have to be honest.

I don’t really care about homestuck as much anymore. This blog was kind of a mosh of many things, mostly Homestuck, some feels, video games, anime, and minecraft. It’s time I let this one go.

I do have another blog though, if you’d like to continue to follow me? It’s mostly filled with book and nerdy stuff, and I’ll probably be putting more video games, anime, and minecraft over there. <3

The issue today with valentine’s is you can never tell if the sentiments are friendly or romantic unless it’s said specifically.

… Guess I don’t have to worry about that since no one gave me anything.

It bothers me

That to be considered an adult, by many, means to have children or raise children. It’s not like having a kid and owning a house will suddenly, and abruptly, raise you in terms of maturity. You’re certainly have much more responsibility on your plate, but that doesn’t mean you have to take care of them. How many people lose their children, but own a home? How many lose their home, but not their children? Can it be a trailer or must it be a house? To those that have lost children, homes, jobs… These people are adults right, even if they have neglected responsibilities? More ‘adult’ than those without children, without a home? 

I don’t intend to get a home for some time, nor do I intend to have children for a long, long time (if ever (though maybe I will adopt)). Even if I handle my responsibilities well, I do my best, am I suddenly not an adult because I lack a home, and I lack children?

My favorite ‘adult’ quote is something along the lines of ‘True adults are the ones who act like children’. They’ve lost the pretentiousness that some people equate with being a ‘grown up’ or an adult, and have relaxed into their own being. 

Personally, I feel that being an adult is a state of mind. It’s a level of maturity, or accepting your faults and strengths and working to give yourself and those in your life (whether they be blood related or not, children or not) the best you can.
